Join us October 10 at 7:00 p.m. for our final Movie Night of the year! Enjoy a family-friendly movie with free popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, and more. Bring the family, invite a friend, and come enjoy an evening together. Our plan is to host the movie night out on the church lawn (weather and mosquitoes permitting). Everyone is welcome!

Moms & Margs is a relaxed evening for moms of all ages and stages to connect, laugh, and enjoy some good conversation over dinner. No program, no pressure just a chance to get out of the house and spend time with other women who understand the joys and challenges of motherhood.

Come as you are, order what you’d like, and join us at the table. There’s always room for one more!

High school students are invited to a weekend away at Covenant Cedars! ABIDE will encourage students to grow deeper in their faith and discover what it means to live in an abiding relationship with Jesus through worship, teaching, community, and plenty of fun. Join us Sunday, November 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Wahoo First United Methodist Church as Swedeburg Covenant, First UMC, and First Presbyterian gather for worship on the First Sunday of Advent. A joint choir from all three churches will share special music, and we’ll enjoy a potluck together following worship. There will be no Gathered Worship at Swedeburg on this day. Everyone is welcome to join us in town! 

Join us for Christmas in Wahoo! We’ll be partnering with our friends at Wahoo First United Methodist Church for an afternoon of Christmas cookie decorating from 1:00–5:00 p.m. Stop by, decorate a cookie, and enjoy some Christmas cheer as our community celebrates the season together!  At Wahoo UMC, 714 Beech Street, Wahoo.

Children's Christmas Program

Sunday, December 20 | 10:30 a.m. | Wahoo First UMC 

Celebrate the joy of Christmas with our children! Our churches will gather together for a special Christmas Children’s Program as our kids help tell the story of Jesus’ birth. Join us for a joyful morning of worship and celebration for the whole family. This joint ecumenical service with First Presbyterian, Swedeburg Covenant, and Wahoo First UMC will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Wahoo First UMC at 714 Beech Street, Wahoo.

Christmas can be a difficult season when we are carrying grief, loss, loneliness, or simply a heaviness that doesn’t match the celebration around us. Our Blue Christmas Service offers a quiet and reflective space to acknowledge those realities while holding onto the hope and presence of Christ. Join us for an evening of prayer, Scripture, music, and reflection.

Sunday, December 27 | 10:30 a.m. | South Haven

We’ll close out the Christmas season by gathering with our ecumenical friends for a special service at South Haven centered around the music of Christmas. Join us as we continue celebrating the good news of Christ’s birth together through Scripture, song, and worship. South Haven is located at 1400 Mark Drive in Wahoo, NE.
